• Master Leon Preston (Leon) - You have journeyed with me through my Taekwondo years and been with me through each step of the way, in thought, in spirit. From the balmy shores of Singapore, to the evergreen pastures of the Pacific Northwest, to the Lucky country, to the plains of the midwest, full circle around the globe. Your positive encouragement and motivation have become so very much a part of me, ingrained in my actions and my thoughts. Leon, my mentor, my teacher, my big brother often protective :), always steadfast, and firm, you are truly an epitome of inner strength. This strength that you exude, needs no external display, no flaunting, no showmanship. It is a calm and quiet strength of graciousness, grounded in confidence and esteem. My hope is that I will be able to mirror your footsteps, as I begin my next step in the Aquatic arena. For all you have been to me, for who I have become, I thank you big brother LP, you are family ~ Taekwondo (Fist Foot Way) ~

  • Mark "American Thorpedo" Liscinsky - In the short time that you have coached me, you have renewed my spirit of determination and motivation, but more importantly, instilled in me a positive attitude toward swimming and in all other athletic goals. The high expectations and standards that you have set for me, reflects your belief in my potential and capability. The words 'No' or 'Can't' are not options for you, which in my book says heaps about your tenacity and drive, and your view of what is important to be successful. Your achievements in a sport that is HIGHLY competitive, is a true mark of excellence and takes the perspective that with enough hope, flexibility and determination, is within our reach. With each training session, your positive encouragement has influenced my attitude toward swimming and other athletic pursuits. I will keep training with a vision of hope and belief, knowing that anything is possible until the words 'Yes' and 'Can' become a part of my everyday vocabulary! :) Thanks mate-coach.

  • Judi-Brown Clarke - You have been my best friend, my sister, for 20 plus years. Together we've gone through many ups and downs and through it all our friendship has perservered. You see no racial or cultural barriers, only bridges yet to be built, yet to be crossed. Your Olympic achievements in Athletics certainly reflects your passion, determination and drive to excel and to never compromise the stars. You settle for nothing less than excellence. You are the epitome of strength and I have no doubt that for the next 20 more years we will continue our journey of sisterhood together.
